Another healthcare town hall turns into a near-riot
More pushback against healthcare reform, at least the variety being considered currently. This article contained the following interesting tidbit:
[U.S. Rep. Steve] Cohen [D-Memphis] invited area physicians to share their opinions on health care reform.
Dr. Neal Beckford was roundly booed when he said 50 million people were without health insurance.
The people at the meeting apparently did not feel that bringing up the plight of uninsured Americans should give self-styled healthcare reformers carte blanche to re-engineer so large a part of the American economy. Or maybe they had simply read this article.
