Electronic records too expensive for hospitals

Both Medical Economics and The Wall Street Journal report that American hospitals, which have much deeper pockets than physicians’ practices, are being very slow to implement electronic records due to cost.  Nothing really new here.  The technology is simply not ready for large-scale implementation.  But that isn’t stopping people who are neither health care providers nor hospital administrators from calling for a digital revolution in health care.
